Monkey in the Metal began with a simple love of design and construction—building custom furniture pieces that married traditional craftsmanship with innovative materials. We were ambitious dreamers who believed in pushing the envelope of what was possible with everyday building materials.

Since 2020, we’ve transformed from custom furniture makers into Baltimore’s premier architectural millwork specialists. While our foundation in woodworking and metalwork remains the same, our focus has expanded to serve architects, contractors, and property owners who need custom solid wood and decorative metal solutions that furniture makers simply can’t deliver.
